Press Release – Recycling Drop Off

City hall recycling drop-off

Laurinburg, N.C. – November 16, 2017 – Due to ongoing construction of the New City Hall & Police Department at 303 W. Church St., which will require closing access to a large portion of that site, the City’s Recycling Drop-Off behind City Hall will be closed indefinitely, beginning Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017.

The City collects recyclable material curbside from all residents on a bi-weekly basis.  Please place all recyclable items in your blue cart (not in bags) and place your cart beside the road for collection every other week on your day of collection.  If you are unsure what week (Red or Green) your recycling will be collected, please call the Public Works Facility at (910) 276-2364, and we will be glad to assist you with any questions or concerns.

The safety of employees, contractors, and customers that come to the City Hall to conduct business is the top priority, along with limited space that will be available on the site during construction, are the reasons for taking this measure.  Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated while we work through this transitional period.

Additional press releases will be forthcoming for any other issues affecting customer access to city services at City Hall.
