The Laurinburg City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. in the council room of the Municipal Building located at 303 West Church St., Laurinburg, NC. The purpose of the public hearing is to obtain input from the citizens on the City entering into an installment financing contract under Section 160A-20 of the North Carolina General Statutes in a principal amount not to exceed $10,000,000 in order to finance the construction of a new City Hall and Police Station and demolition of the W. Charles Barrett Building and the Municipal Building. The new City Hall and Police Station will be located on the same site as the W. Charles Barrett Building and the Municipal Building on West Church St., Laurinburg, NC. The City will grant a lien on the site of the new City Hall and Police Station to secure the City’s obligations under the installment financing contract. The public is encouraged to attend.
